Fake News Release

Four are dead after a shooting and apartment fire early this morning on Columbia Avenue. Early this morning an unidentified person reportedly entered the apartment building. Arguing and multiple gunshots were heard. Pullman and Moscow fire departments were alerted to scene and arrived to find the apartment on fire. The fire was contained immediately.Two female victims, both under the age of 18, were pronounced dead due to gunshot wounds. Two other victims found dead were so badly burned that their identification and cause of death is pending a medical examiner's preliminary view. Whitman County Prosecuter Paula T. Doe said that it is believed that the fire was started to mask the shootings. The Whitman County Prosecuter's Office will continue the investigation into the case. A $10,000 reward is being offered for the arrest of the suspect or suspects as part of the Crimestopper's Program through the Whitman County Sheriff's Office.
